The fine print
Privacy Policy
We run a small country store, not a data operation. Here is plainly what happens with information on this website.
What we collect here
When you browse this site, our advertising partner records ordinary visit information: the pages you open, roughly when and for how long, your browser and device type, and the web address that sent you here. It also sets its own cookie so it can tell one visit from the next.
If you give us your email address to hear about new stock and store news, we keep that address in our own store database so we can write to you. We do not send your email address to Meta. When advertising measurement is allowed, we send a signup confirmation event with a random event identifier, not your email address or the form’s contents.
Who receives it
Meta Platforms, Inc. — the company behind Facebook and Instagram — receives the visit information described above. It is the only outside advertising partner used for visit and newsletter signup measurement.
What it is used for
Two purposes, both about advertising: measurement, so we can see whether ads people see on Facebook or Instagram actually bring folks to this website and lead to newsletter signups, and ad optimization, so those ads can be shown to people who are likelier to be interested.
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or email on the advertising side. Meta may associate browser information and its cookies with your activity or account; omitting your email does not make advertising measurement anonymous.
Consent and where you live
This site does not show a cookie banner. Because of that, visitors in regions whose law requires you to choose first — the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Brazil — are not tracked at all. Their visit is never sent to Meta.
If we cannot tell where you are writing from, we treat that the same way and switch tracking off, rather than guess.
Elsewhere measurement is enabled by default unless you turn it off below or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. That happens whether or not you clicked an ad — ad clicks and impressions are counted by the ad platform either way.
Changing your mind
Switch off advertising measurement below to stop future page-view and signup reporting in this browser, including other open tabs. Your dated choice and notice version are saved in this browser. No email matching or customer-list uploads are enabled. If you clear browser storage, your saved preference is removed; set it again on each browser or device. Facebook and Instagram also have ad-preference controls under Settings › Ads.
Checking your region…
To stop hearing from the store entirely, just tell us and we will remove your email address from our list.
